that's been the goal
all along
but who should really die?

is it the innocent people,
or the bureaucrats?
who've created this demon of war
i don't know
i'm not supposed to think

act to please our leaders
whom promise us of a better future
would a better future come from ruthless killing?
even if it does come
will there be anyone left to relish it?,
after all the bloodshed
