just when i was
about to give up
things kept falling around me
hope was gone
but i'm starting to see
rays of hope
coming through
the gloomy skies
should i give up now
or hold on for
a little bit longer
than i expected
it is a gamble
but i guess
i have to take my chances
nothing's written in stone
i can hang on and keep my chin up
but it's an uphill battle
when you are so close
and yet so far away
