saviors of the nation
protectors of the innocent
the country before themselves
is what they try to portray
a war is fought
innocent lives are lost
but they don't care
because it's not their own
a mother weeps for her son
whilst a wife waits for her husband
a son cries himself to sleep
knowing his father would never return
the war seems to be
the answer for everything
even for the starving stomachs
a father skips a meal
to feed his little ones
whilst the countrymen
starves themselves though the days
the saviors party
the nights away
but who are we to question
if we don't sing
the same song as them
our throats are cut
and left to bleed
