Borrowed Time

things can be great
it can feel like a dream
and little do we realize
that this would end soon

there's nothing much
that we can do
we just have to make way
for the inevitable

but yet we try to
stretch it beyond
what it's supposed to be
to live on borrowed time

though it lasts for a while
it never feels the same
so it makes me think
if it's worth it all

should i rather
let it end
when it is
supposed to be
