everywhere he looks
it's roses, cupids and hearts
things he used to cherish
but not so anymore

he turns on the tv
to distract himself
but all that he can see
are couples and their tales

valentines day is here
that's what all the buzz is about
time to celebrate love

but all he can feel
is sadness and grief
his love went away
to fly among the clouds
with her she took away
the happiness in his life

this lonely valentine
is lost without his love
he looks to the clouds
in hope to find his love
